1/8 Overview
The mobile app and wallet were created to allow users to use the media content that they purchased on the platform. The wallet was part of the website where a user who was logged in could view purchased items and the app was a standalone viewer. I worked on a small team as Product Designer, responsible for UX and UI.

2/8 Problems
Users needed a way to listen and play content, especially without needing to be on the website. Content of various different categories and media types could be purchased and the user needed to be able to find and use them. Primarily, we needed an audio player for music but also a separate section for audio books and ebooks. My goal was to design a simple to use app that users could find and play media while in the car or on the go.
3/8 Users & Constraints
The users were customers who have purchased digital media from the marketplace. They needed a quick and seamless way to listen to their audiobooks and music and read ebooks purchased from the store. This was very early in the startup stage and we had a very short amount of time to get something out there so our growing user base could use the items they purchased.
4/8 Workflow Breakdown
The steps were simple, sign up and purchase something from the store, find that item in your store wallet or download the app. Click the item to go into its page and use the player to listen or read.
5/8 Screens
The app went through a few iterations before landing on the current design.
6/8 Design System
The app and wallet both utilize the existing design system that I created for the front facing websites and marketplace.
7/8 Implementation & Collaboration
I was responsible for the design and UX of the mobile app and handed off files to our mobile engineer. With the wallet, as it was part of our marketplace website, I designed and then also helped with implementation on the front end.
8/8 Outcome
We created a media player app which allows thousands of users to enjoy content that they have purchased from creators.
